Accessibility statement
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnified display.
This statement describes the first version of the site and will be updated after each audit.
The level we target
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a practical standard across the whole site.
What has been done
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator
- A 'skip to main content' link at the start of every page
- A consistent heading hierarchy with exactly one H1 per page
- Measured text contrast; gold is never used as a text colour on a light background
- An accessible mobile menu that closes with the Escape key
- Package comparisons built as real tables with row and column headers
- Every price, inclusion and FAQ answer present in the page without relying on JavaScript
- Alt text that describes what is actually in each image
- Respect for your device's reduced-motion setting: the homepage video does not start
- No essential information conveyed by colour or hover alone
Known limitations
- Images in this first version are placeholders. Their alt text describes the placeholder and will be rewritten when the real photographs are installed.
- The homepage video is placeholder content with no speech. A real video containing speech will ship with a transcript or captions.
- The enquiry form is hosted by an external service (Zoho) and its accessibility depends partly on that supplier. Phone, email and WhatsApp remain available as equivalent alternatives.
Reporting a problem
If any part of this site stops you getting information or reaching us, write to info@son-dj.ca or call 514-652-2931. Describe the page and what blocked you. We'll fix it, and in the meantime we'll get you the information another way.
Accessibility at your event
Physical accessibility at an event depends mostly on the venue. If you have specific needs — where the rig sits, wheelchair clearance, sound levels, strobe lighting to avoid — tell us at quote stage and we'll build it into the setup.
