About

An event crew, not a single DJ

Eleganza Événements Inc. is a Montreal company founded in 2009. What sets us apart isn't a personality — it's an organisation that makes sure your night happens as planned.

The company

From one DJ to an event company

The company started the way most do: one DJ, a car full of gear, and weekend nights. For years it was known as Son DJ Animation. It is now presented publicly in Canada as Eleganza Événements, with Eleganza Événements Inc. as the legal entity.

What changed isn't the service — it's the structure. A single DJ is a single point of failure: if he's ill the day before a wedding, the client has no reception. A crew with several DJs, several rigs and a written file for every contract doesn't have that problem.

It's also what makes it possible to supply the DJ, the photo booth, the musicians and the wedding effects under one contract, instead of coordinating four suppliers who have never spoken to each other.

The founder

DJ Carlos

DJ Carlos founded the company in 2009 and still performs. He is a DJ and a musician, and he stays involved in preparing weddings and significant corporate nights.

He is not, however, the product. This site does not promise that DJ Carlos personally will be behind the decks at your event — the company is what you book, and the assigned DJ is confirmed to you in advance.

À CONFIRMER The founder's project-management background shapes how the company organises its contracts. The exact professional credential is not published until the owner confirms the precise wording.

The crew

Who shows up

DJs, hosts, photo booth attendants and musicians. Every contract names who will be there.

PLACEHOLDER Names, photographs, languages, specialties and years of experience will be added as soon as the owner supplies them. We do not publish invented biographies.

The model

Why a crew actually matters

A wedding or a holiday party doesn't get postponed. The venue is booked, the caterer is confirmed, guests have taken time off. The music supplier is often the only link in the chain with no fallback.

Working as a crew means three concrete things: several DJs trained on the same rigs, several sets of equipment ready to go, and a written file per contract so anyone on the team can pick up the run-of-show without starting over.

  • Several DJs available for the same date
  • Several sound and lighting rigs
  • A written run-of-show the whole crew can access
  • One point of contact for DJ, photo booth and musicians

Contingency

Our backup plan

If the assigned DJ can't make it, another member of the crew takes over with the same file: your run-of-show, your music, your do-not-play list and your venue's constraints.

Equipment follows the same logic — the critical pieces of the rig are duplicated. A cable or a controller failing doesn't end the night.

  • A named backup DJ on every contract
  • Your run-of-show shared across the crew
  • Critical rig components duplicated
  • A number that reaches someone on the day of the event

Method

Our planning process

The same process for a 40-person party and a 400-person gala.

  1. 1. Qualify

Date, venue, guest count, hours. We confirm availability before anything else is discussed.

  2. 2. Quote

A published package, written inclusions and the relevant options. No price that only appears after a phone call.

  3. 3. Planning meeting

The written run-of-show: key moments, music, announcements, names to call.

  4. 4. Technical sign-off

Access times, power, volume, and the rules on haze and effects — settled with the venue before the day.

  5. 5. The event

Early setup, sound check, and a crew running the plan you approved.

  6. 6. After

Photo booth files and the digital gallery delivered to the organiser.

Values

What we hold to

  • Publish prices instead of making people guess
  • Write inclusions down instead of promising them verbally
  • Welcome special requests instead of discouraging them
  • Publish nothing we can't back up
  • Respect the venue's rules and the neighbours
  • Hand photos back to clients rather than exploit them

A question about how we work?

We're happy to answer before there's any talk of dates or budgets.
